Where to eat on 30A?
Whether or not you've been to 30A, we probably don't have to preach about how to beach đŸ˜‰ You may spend countless leisurely hours sunbathing, nose-deep in your favorite novel. Or, maybe you're more active and paddle out to chill on the sandbars. MAYBE you build sandcastles with the kids, or play volleyball on the shore. No matter what kind of beach go-er you are, one things for sure. You gotta eat!
Here's a locals perspective on some of the best places to grab a bite when your tummy's grumbling!
This quick guide is divided into three sections of the nautical paradise we call home: East, Central and West. We've also included a few options that span beyond those boundaries. If you don't see your favorites, let us know! We'll be sure to check it out and add it to our list.
East:
If you're staying in Inlet, Seacrest, Rosemary or Alys
Seacrest Sundries is located in Seacrest Beach and has both a market and a cafe. Stop by to enjoy some classic American food or pick up your staple grocery items. They're open from 7a-7p every day,
The Pearl Enjoy premium seating around a fire pit at this destination restaurant with Gulf views in the heart of Rosemary Beach. They do not accept reservations, but you can book a private cabana for your group or occasion!
La Crema: Top off your Rosemary Beach experience with decadent Spanish inspired cuisine. Being in Rosemary truly does have an international look and feel and La Crema sets it off bring Madrid and Barcelona to YOU! No reservations, but don't miss this one--they've got flavors for every palate.
Central:
WaterColor, Seaside, Seagrove, WaterSound, Prominence
Whiskey Bravo: Located just east of Seaside, 723 Whiskey Bravo's "Cool. Casual. Coastal" atmosphere is perfect for gathering the gang after a long day on the beach. With 8 TV's down stairs and a full spectrum roof-top deck, this Seagrove staple is sure to become a favorite in no time flat.
Surfing Deer: The history of Cube McGee and his pet deer Bambi paving the way for the inviting atmosphere of Seagrove have been preserved in the founding of Surfing Deer. Located on the corner of 30A and Hwy 395, this fine dining experience is surely a cornerstone of the community!
Old Florida Fish House: For almost 15 years this hidden gem has been serving Gulf-fresh seafood with views of Eastern Lake. They have a casual family-friendly atmosphere, expansive mouth-watering menu, full-service bar, live music and the best sushi on 30A.
Seagrove Village MarketCafé: Rest assured, the taste of Ernie's recipes are just the same as when Seagrove Beach was just a handful of cinderblock cottages along the coast (with a few new menu items to choose from). Families have to frequented this establishment for DECADES. Stop by to experience this local traditoin next time you're in Seagrove.
The Great Southern Cafe: Located in the heart of Seaside, owner and chef Jim Shirley mixed his "taste for international cuisines with Southern cooking local food". As proud members of the South Walton Community Great Southern supports the Arts and Entertainment Fund that provides cultural, educational, and entertainment activities for the Seaside community
The Bay: Enjoy another one of Jim Shirley's award-winning recipes at this family-friendly waterfront restaurant located on the Choctawhatchee Bay. It's certainly worth venturing a few minutes north to experience their dynamic menu while basking in the glow of a Wednesday night Bay Bonfire!
Bud and Alley's Rooftop Bar: You haven't experience Seaside until you've had a sunset beer at Bud and Alley's and heard the strike of the vintage bell. Since 1987 Bud and Alley's has been a neighborhood gathering place to enjoy gulf views over good food with great friends.
"Bud & Alley’s devotion to farm- and sea-to-table dining extends to casual eateries overlooking the Gulf, too. The Pizza Bar‘s authentic stylings of wood-fired artisan pizza pies are direct from the cucina’s of Italy, while the Taco Bar‘s fresh flavors and funky vibe are reminiscent of the authentic taquerias on the Mexican border."
The Melt Down: Experience the best grilled cheese sandwich of your life. Chef Jim Shirley's done it again! Visit he and his partner Kelli Castille's food truck (one of the iconic airstream trailers in Seaside) pronto! They use locally sourced ingredients for their gourmet grilled cheeses. Don't be shy; have a Melt Down on 30A =]
Café 30A: Everyday from 5 to 6 PM, buy on entre, get one free AND $5 martinis on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Can you believe it?! Café 30A is a highly recommended crowd favorite with an exceptionally delicious menu and delightfully hospitable staff. Pop in to see what they mean when they say "Consistently Delicious!"
West:
Dune Allen, Gulf Place, Grayton
Vue on 30A: Vue offers an unforgettable dining experience with an exquisite views of the Gulf as your back drop. Their award winning menu (by Chef Giovanni Filippone featured on Season 5 of Hell's kitchen) and upscale atmosphere is sure to have you returning time and time again.
For the Health of It: Perfect for those interested in organic, natural products or homeopathic remedies. They have fresh juices and smoothies that are made-to-order and there's even a massage therapy clinic near-by. Be sure to stop in and check-out this neighborhood favorite!
Red Fish Taco: If you're looking for a delicious but casual meal after a long day on Blue Mountain's Beaches, this one is definitely a go-to. They've got good portion sizes, not too pricy, plenty of parking, out door seating and a wide variety of taco options to choose from!
Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar: With GREAT views from the second floor, Shunk Gulley is an awesome new spot named after the fishing reef off the Gulf and located directly in front of the Ed Walline Beach access on 30A. They've got a unique menu and a cool merch store next door!
La Lobas Bakery & Cafe: You would be remiss to leave the west-end of 30A without trying one of the mouth-watering items off this bakery's menu! Satisfy your sweet tooth or sink your teeth into one of their breakfast or lunch options. (PS: The puddle cookies are incredible!)
La Playa: This fast-casual "coastal cantina in Gulf Place offers gulf views and a laid back atmosphere. Enjoy delicious Mexican cuisine directly across from the Gulf of Mexico! Simply walk up, order and they'll bring it out to you while you enjoy the beach vibe.
All:
Cowgirl Kitchen has two locations. One in Seagrove and Rosemary. They boast "Kick Back Cuisine" and it's delicious. With a laid-back vibe and a wide variety menu, we highly recommend you stop by to see what they mean when they say "Kick Back & Saddle Up!"
Brunos: We'd highly recommend having the best pizza on 30A delivered the day you arrive. They make their dough and sauce from scratch and use only the "freshest produce and the finest meats". Bruno's has been holding down the top spot for the best pizza for 28 years!
Perfect Pig: With three locations, you're sure to encounter at least one Perfect Pig as you explore 30A. they have both indoor and outdoor seating with a family-friendly vibe and a ton of tasty gourmet items to choose from. Check them out for breakfast, lunch or dinner in WaterColor, Seagrove and Gulf Place!
The Hub: There's a reason why The Hub is called "the greatest backyard party of all time". Located in Prominence, one of the newest developments on 30A, this venue has it all! Shops, restaurants, entertainment and kid-friendly fun. Enjoy a meal or a show on the AstroTurf in front of the jumbotron or stop in and get the coolest gear from the Live Well Shop. No matter where on 30A you stay, you've GOT to check out The Hub.
